Is it just me, or does each Christmas season seem less and less Christmas-y? My guess is that it’s the consumerism that has become more and more prominent each year, and it’s all about shopping and wish lists and sales, etc.
Even though this season hasn’t felt as festive as years past so far, I’ve been filled with so much joy and sometimes just can’t stop smiling! God’s at work with something amazing in my heart right now, and I’m praying that it’s not just the thrill of the season. We talked about joy at church last night and how it’s not rooted in circumstances, but relationship. Even though my life is no where near where I thought it would be a couple years ago, my relationship with God is the strongest it’s ever been, which I guess is why I’m filled with so much joy! I’ve been able to entrust Him with my future, which I’ve been holding on dearly to for so long, as well as surrender other things that have held me down and sunk me into depression for years. But I’m ecstatic to say that I believe God has delivered me from those and that I’m free! I seriously don’t think I’ve ever experienced such incredible joy before and I just want everyone to know!
Anyways, in regards to the outfit, I wore it to church last night and it made me feel super festive and cozy, especially since it was so rainy and cold last night. If you watched the Old Navy segment I was in, then you may recognize this sweater. The mom from the family that was in the segment wore this same one and I loved it so much that I went to Old Navy on the way home from filming and bought it!
