While walking around Balboa Island a few weeks ago, I found this new juice shop that looked super hipster/indie/whatever you want to call it called Juice Crafters, so I went in and ordered the Cleaner #10 juice and it was DELICIOUS! Its benefits include: detoxifying properties; healthy skin, bones, teeth & gums; rich in calcium/minerals; reduces nausea & headache; weight control; strengthens weak bones; boosts immune system and so much more. And what’s even better–it has my favorite fruit, pineapple! It also has apples and mint, which adds a super fresh taste. Anyways, I tried making one at home that definitely didn’t turn out as good as the Juice Crafters one (which I think I have the solution for), but was still super yummy, so I thought I would share this detoxifying spring juice recipe with you all today!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of pineapple
- 1 whole sliced apple
- a few leaves of mint
- 1/2 of a lime
- 1/2 cup water
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients to your NutriBullet or blender. As I mentioned earlier, I think I figured out the solution to make the juice less textured and more like the Juice Crafters one. If you skin the apples, the consistency of the juice should turn out much smoother.
- Blend until the consistency of the juice is smooth and liquidy. You can also add more water or lime juice (to add a bit more of a citrusy taste) if you wish.
- Serve and enjoy! (this should make about two servings)
Let me know if you try this recipe and how it turns out!
