DIY: The Perfect Wintery Facials

In this time of the holiday season, there are many parties to attend, and we all want to look our best with fresh and glowing faces.  Many people’s faces tend to dry out in the winter time.  Or, maybe you are struggling with oily skin.  I gathered some recipes for wintery face scrubs and facials that you can make yourself!
Sugar Cookie Facial Scrub
Use this fun and festive facial scrub to get a healthy glow for your skin. (Meant for drier skin)

Prep time: 5 min
Leave time: 20 min
Total time: 25 min
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. sweet almond oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions:

Stir the ingredients together and apply to face in circular motions.  The purpose of the sugar is to exfoliate your face, but be sure to not scrub too hard so you don’t irritate your skin.  Leave for 20 minutes.
Oatmeal & Honey Facial Mask
Use this mask to help fight dryness.  This deliciously hydrating mask not only sooths and moisturizes skin, but leaves it with a beautifully radiant glow. (Meant for normal skin)

Prep time: 5 min
Leave time: 10-15 min
Total time: 15-20 min
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup dry oats
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup honey
Instructions:
Add the dry oats and water into a blender.  Once they are thinly ground, pour the mixture into a small bowl and add the honey.  Mix well and then apply to your face, leaving it on for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Pumpkin Mask
Don’t let the pumpkin season pass without trying this simple nourishing face mask.  Use this exfoliating mask that nourishes and softens your skin. (Meant for oily skin)
