The worldwide much anticipated Royal Wedding took place this morning where Kate Middleton married Prince William. Millions of people had been waiting for weeks to see which dress the now Princess Kate would choose.
Kate went with an Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton. It was a long-sleeved lace dress with a surprisingly plunging neckline that was very flattering. This was a different style for Alexander McQueen, which usually has a darker look than this ivory lace dress. Some say that she was wanting to wear a strapless dress, but it would have been way too revealing for a traditional British Royal wedding. Instead, the lace and plunging neckline was just the right amount of sexiness.
Kate was decked out in diamonds with her gorgeous jewelry. Her teardrop earrings were a wedding gift from her parents and were designed after her tiara. The diamond filled tiara was not in fact a gift to her. The Queen received it from her mother for her 18th birthday and lent it to Kate for the big day.
