Can you believe there’s only a few days left til Christmas?! It seems like this month/year/decade/life has just FLOWN by.
It also seems like the older you get, the less it actually feels like Christmas. All of the “magic” just seems to disappear, so I feel like now I need to be intentional with this time of year and plan stuff to make it actually feel like Christmas. This past weekend, 10 of my girlfriends and I went to go see The Nutcracker at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts and it was beyond amazing. The American Ballet Theatre (ABT) touring company was performing, and one of their principal dancers came out from New York to play the part of the princess… the one and only Misty Copeland! You guys, she’s seriously so perfect that I had chills the entire time she was on stage. Being there also made me really miss dance and wish I hadn’t given it up. Maybe one day I can get back into it!
Now onto the outfit! We all wanted to get dressed up for the Nutcracker, so I wore this red dress from eShakti that I think was absolutely perfect for going to the ballet at Christmas. What’s great about eShakti is that all of their pieces are totally customizable! They have hundreds of styles in sizes 0-36W, and you can tell them which neckline/hemline/sleeve length you want, and also take off any embellishments, pockets, etc. If you’re kind of in between sizes, no worries! You can put in all your measurements and they will completely customize your piece. I don’t think there’s any other company like that!
