If you read yesterday’s post and/or follow me on Instagram, then you probably know I spent this past weekend in the desert, soaking up the hot sun. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to actually attend Coachella, but I went out there to go to some of the parties and events that were happening. Today I’m sharing some pictures from the first day I was there!
Wakened Apparel Tee c/o, Target Shorts, Billabong Hat (also here), Nordstrom Sunglasses, Daisy Shoppe California Necklace
For the drive out there, I kept my outfit simple and comfy. You can never go wrong with a graphic tee & denim shorts!
My DIY nails that I’m totally obsessed with and I got a ton of compliments on them this weekend! I used Essie “Blanc” and “Jiggle Hi Jiggle Low”.
Moorten Botanical Gardens
Our first stop in Palm Springs was the Moorten Botanical Gardens, which is filled with cacti, succulents, and palms from different parts of the world. I’ve seen pictures of this place on Instagram before (here & here) and it had been on my bucket list for MONTHS! We only went to kill some time before going to an event, so we didn’t get to stay long which was a bummer. I’ll definitely need to go back next time I’m in Palm Springs!
The Greenhouse by Conscious Collective
Our next stop was The Greenhouse, hosted by the new Conscious Collective, who is all about sustainable clothing, accessories, and beauty! This was held at a home in Palm Springs with different activities in the backyard including an indigo dye workshop (seen below), organic bar, salad bar, swimming, and mini golf.
Vestal Village
Next on the list was Vestal Village! This was the main reason I went out to the desert for the weekend. I was invited by Hemlock Hat Co., who I worked with on this post and this post.
Me and my girls wearing Daisy Shoppe! Get details here.
Chelsea, Gigi and I in the Hemlock Hat booth wearing the Grizzly, Mojave, and Miami Vice.
After walking around to the different vendors’ booths, we grabbed some drinks, and chilled by the pool with our friend, Frank the Flamingo 😉
I love desert sunsets and the colors that appear on the mountains!
That’s it for today! Check back on Friday for a recap of this past Sunday!
