For the past few years, I’ve wanted to host a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, but just never got around to it. I finally decided that I was going to make it happen this year, and it ended up being so much fun!
For the most of the party/entertaining posts I’ve done here on AGU, I didn’t actually have the party. So this year I decided to invite a few of my best friends over to partake in the festivities! We had so much fun being silly while taking pictures and sipping margaritas.
The menu consisted of tacos, chips and guac, and margaritas. I forgot to warm up the corn tortillas, so they ended up breaking… But it was still super yummy!
As far as the decor, I bought pretty much everything from Target! (#targetdoesitagain) The dollar section has a ton of super cute summer party decor, and they also have a collection of Cinco de Mayo decorations. Probably my favorite part of the table is the green serape runner, which I found at an antique store outside of Yosemite last year.
I’m also trying to build my succulent collection, so I added a few to the middle. One of them (in the turquoise pot) is from @thesucculentguys, which was started by a couple of my friends just last weekend! They’ve been selling potted succulents at the Newport Pier Farmer’s Market the past two weekends, and might be starting an online store soon! Follow them on Instagram to stay updated!
I had so much fun throwing this colorful Cinco de Mayo fiesta, and I hope you enjoy these pictures! If you’re throwing a Cinco de Mayo party, snap some pics and share them with me on Instagram!
