I think this year I have so much more to be thankful for. Now, I’m not talking about material things, but things that have happened in my life and things I’ve learned. I’ve dealt with depression and a lot of friend issues over the past few years, and although those things definitely sucked, I am so thankful for them because they’ve made me stronger as a person and in my relationship with God.
I’m also thankful for my amazing group of friends at church. I’ve never really had a big group of friends that always does stuff together (sounds lame, I know), and it’s absolutely amazing! We have girls’ night almost every week, which I’ve never had before, and it always brightens up my day and makes me so happy.
Over the past few months, I’ve also been learning to just be thankful for where God has me. I think that’s what has helped me so much recently with my depression. I’ve been choosing to look at the brighter side of things and it has filled me with so much more joy these past couple weeks!
