Yesterday was a very exciting day because Sydne from Sydne Style asked me to be a model in the Old Navy fashion segment on the KTLA 5 morning news! It was supposed to air yesterday, but unfortunately we were cut off by President Obama & the French President, so it is now airing today at 9:20AM.
The “theme” of all the outfits yesterday was winter layering. Of course we don’t need to layer up too much here in Southern California, but many people are traveling this weekend for Thanksgiving and will be over the coming weeks for the holidays.
Sydne styled me in an outfit similar to what she was wearing, which was very preppy! I wore a plaid flannel shirt (that we actually later on realized was a men’s shirt!), a mustard colored sweater, plaid bomber jacket (that has the coziest shearling lining), and some white skinny jeans. You may have thought that you can’t wear white jeans in the winter, but you most definitely can! Anyways, mixing plaids is a huge trend this season, just as long as you have a staple color or two that is consistent in both pieces.
I’m wearing my favorite new lace up flats that I bought from Old Navy a couple weeks ago here, but I ended up switching into these super comfy faux suede booties for the segment to make it look a bit more wintery.
Thanks to Sydne Summer for the photos!
Old Navy is currently having an Earlybird Black Friday Sale where you can save 30% off your entire order, or 40% when you spend $100 or more!
