This past Saturday, I went down to San Diego with a few friends for the day. We went to Old Town San Diego for the evening and I fell absolutely in LOVE. Old Town San Diego is 12 acres of Mexican lore and historical sites and was the first Spanish settlement on the U.S. West Coast. It’s filled with tons of authentic Mexican restaurants and colorful shops, which makes you feel like you’re actually walking the streets of a little town in Mexico. We ate at Café Coyote, which is Voted Best Mexican Restaurant 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014. Not only were their food & margaritas delicious, but the service was great and they even had a Mariachi band walking around playing music! After a hot and crazy day driving around, Mexican food, margaritas, and music was just what we needed.
