Pink Floral Top

Today I’m excited to share my first post from my birthday trip to Monterey! My birthday was this past Saturday, and three of my friends and I spend the day in Monterey exploring, then “went out on the town” for dinner and drinks. We went to Cannery Row Brewing Company, where we had the best waiter EVER. His name was Adam, and he was this super laid back dude wearing a sweatshirt and said “right on” whenever we said we were doing fine. There were a few times when he would just hang around and talk to us, and ended up pulling up a chair at one point to tell us all the best spots in town to grab a drink afterwards. My friend Chelsea slipped in that it was my birthday, so of course he gave me a birthday shot, on the house (it was actually pretty good). We all loved him so much, so one of the girls said I should write my number on the receipt and tell him he should come out with us later. So I did. ?

We went to one of the spots he told us to go, and while we were dancing, I got a text from him saying he had gotten off of work and wanted to meet up with us! Guys, that has never happened to me before. I’ve probably left my number on a receipt maybe 3 times or so, but no guy has ever contacted me.

Anyways, when he met up with us, he got us a round of drinks, and after about 10 minutes we all headed outside to the patio to cool off and chat. The rest is a really long story, but we basically found out that he was a 35-year-old guy who lived in Hawaii for a while, got a DUI a couple years ago, mountain bikes, and grows weed for a dispensary. You’re probably thinking, “Katie, this guy sounds SUPER sketch…” And he kinda was. But he was the NICEST guy ever!

Now about the outfit. This is what I wore for our night out, but I changed into black skinny jeans instead. I recently bought this Barbie pink floral top, and I’m just dying over the color!! I’ve always loved pink, but I’m REALLY into it right now. For some reason I don’t have a ton of it in my closet, so I’ve been trying to add as much pink to my wardrobe as possible these past couple weeks!
