State of Wild

It’s January and the holidays are over. Anyone else grieving the most wonderful time of the year? Luckily for me, my birthday is coming up in less than two weeks, so I’ve still got some celebrating to do! I’m also missing this Winter Wonderland my parents and I visited last week. I’ve been going through my pictures wising I was still there, which will have to do for now!

While we were there, it was super cold–a lot colder than I’m used to–so I really had to layer up. I was wearing either a beanie or this cute forest green turband from State of Wild the whole time, and also cuddled up with a blanket whenever we were in the car (which was a lot of the time!). I LOVE this aztec printed blanket from State of Wild, and it would be perfect for laying down on the grass or sand for a picnic too!

If you haven’t heard about State of Wild yet, they’re a new brand that sells turbands, blankets, and scarves. I LOVE supporting companies that help make a difference in this broken world, and State of Wild is doing just that.

“State of Wild (SOW) draws its inspiration from one brave young woman who dropped everything to move to Guatemala so she could address the needs of an impoverished children’s orphanage. Following her lead, SOW co-founders, Juse Taylor and Jessica Willis, vow to use SOW to help make a difference in the world informed by a creative, open-hearted, and empowered sense of social responsibility.

SOW is dedicated to bringing you unique accessories made with hand-selected, fair-trade textiles and fabrics. Each item in the SOW shop is handmade by its founders and their tribe.

For each SOW item purchased, a portion of the proceeds will go to a non-profit foundation or social cause. SOW selects the organizations that it supports based on the impact that the organizations have in their respective communities.”
