I can’t believe I’m just now getting around to posting these, but here are our Joshua Tree engagement photos!!! We took these way back in January and I just never thought to do a blog post with them!
We drove out to Joshua Tree National Park with our photographer/my friend Kim of @kimberlyhopephotography for the day and shot 2 looks at 2 different locations. We did one casual outfit, and one dressy outfit. I was actually thinking of wearing sequins for the dressy one and popping champagne, but I also really wanted photos with a super flowy dress, and I feel like what I wore ended up being more me! This color of this dress isn’t available anymore, but it comes in 6 other colors, and I really have my eyes on the turquoise one 😍 I’m wearing a large, btw!
I’ve always loved Joshua Tree and National Parks. When we took these photos, we actually thought we were going to get married in Yosemite National Park, so that’s another reason why we chose this location so that the whole thing would kinda be National Park themed! But Yosemite didn’t work out and we ended up getting married in Big Bear, CA, which was beautiful. I’ll share more about that soon 🙂
Part 1: Casual
Part 2: Dressed Up
So funny story… kinda haha. When we were taking these last photos, Colton gave Kim his keys so you couldn’t see them in his pocket in the photos. After we had finished, Kim went to get the keys out of her camera bag and couldn’t find them! We started freaking out and were looking everywhere on the ground and in the bushes, but couldn’t find them. It didn’t help that it was after sunset and getting dark 😅 After a few minutes, Kim heard something in her jacket and found them in there 🙈 Slight little scare lol. But it’s not an adventure without something going wrong! 😉

Again, thank you so much to Kimberly Hope Photography for taking our Joshua Tree engagement photos!!! We love you!
